- Volunteer Insurance
- Unemployment Trust

- Web Conferencing
- Conference Calling
- Branding, Marketing & Web Site Design

The Center's Non-Profit HelpDesk, expert phone and email consultation and referral service, saves you time and money by having our knowledgeable staff just a call or click away. We answer questions about board governance; legal issues; insurance; lobbying; and many more non-profit topics, and can refer you to qualified resources/firms if more intensive or specialized consultation is needed.

Advocacy for the Non-Profit Community
Our advocacy activities benefit the entire sector while helping non-profits save time and money. For example:
- We review the summaries of every bill introduced in the New Jersey Legislature and proposed state regulations to identify those with potential impact on non-profits, so that you can focus your resources on the issues most closely related to your mission.
- The Center has championed the non-profit community on such diverse issues as the economic importance of New Jersey's non-profits; the impact of the economic downturn; advocacy and lobbying rights; charitable fund raising; pay to play; charitable giving incentives; and many more. Our work to publicize how non-profits are faring in today's economy has been featured in many of the state's media outlets and generated interest from public policy leaders.
- The Center recently advocated successfully to raise the mandatory audit threshold under the New Jersey Charitable Registration and Investigation Act. Our requested change has been formally adopted by the New Jersey Division of Consumer Affairs. We estimate that the new threshold will save covered organizations an average of $7,000 each, and will result in a combined savings of over $10 million for affected organizations.
- We joined national advocates in a successful push for inclusion of non-profits in small employer tax credits in the health reform bill, so that eligible non-profits, as well as for-profit businesses, can benefit from this important incentive.
- We continue to encourage the Christie Administration to expand the scope of its "red tape" work to include non-profits, based on the philosophy that non-profits - as an important contributor to the economic engine of the state - are just as vulnerable to the burdens of duplicative, unnecessary government policies, regulations and contracting procedures as are for-profit businesses.
- We are working with other advocates to improve non-profit/government relationships in order to enhance effectiveness and coordination and improve services to communities.
